Owen's Heart, Mom's Move, and the Packard's House

I don't have the energy to be creative right now, so here is a simple report from our weekend:

Owen has had a slight heart murmur since birth. The doctor at his last appointment referred us to a specialist in Salt Lake to finally check it out. Everything is fine. He just has a flow murmur. The way his blood goes into his heart just makes a funny sound.

Since we were in northern Utah, we decided to drive the rest of the way up and visit mom. I guess she just couldn't handle the big city life of Brigham City, so she moved to Tremonton. Never heard of it? Not surprised.

Mom has lost 53 pounds. She gave a great talk in church. She made my favorite pork chops, rice, and gravy for dinner. She cleaned Dexter's poo off of her shoe and the carpet. It was good to see you again Mom. We love you.

We also visited with the Packards in Logan. This is the view from their back deck.

We celebrated Courtney's birthday 2 days early. Owen loves his Aunt Nee Nee.

All in all, it was a very short and relaxing weekend. I really enjoyed a break from work. The weather was 20 degrees cooler than St. George. Owen is healthy. Kim's belly is pooching out a little more from the new baby. I got to watch some football on Derrick's new HD TV, and I didn't have to fire anyone when I got back.

(The song I chose for this post is just a sample of the music that helped us pass the time during the road trip.)

Mom looks great, doesn't she? I can't wait to see her in person!

Did you know Ally also has a murmer? They call it an innocent murmer or non-functional murmer. No big deal. I always forget she has one until I hear about someone else's.

Hope it works out to see you guys soon. I miss you!

Where does Kim's sister live in Logan? It looks like it's really close to my brother in No. Logan. You fit lots of fun stuff in for a weekend. Glad you had fun!
