Old McPowell Had a Farm. E-I-E-I-O.

Saturday the 13th was my 31st birthday. Very anti-climatic. Very non-monumental. I loved being able to just work half the day and spend some time with Kim and Owen. They got me this really snazzy tie that looks very Halloweenyish with my black pinstriped shirt.

After I got home from work, we went to a local Fall favorite hotspot called Staheli Farm. We jumped on the redneck trampoline,...

played on the redneck slides,...

pet the animals,...

sat on some hay,...

stood on a fence,...

rode on the "Cow Train,"...
tossed some cow pies,...
picked some pumpkins,...

admired a bug-infested pumpkin,...

and navigated our way through the corn maze.

After gorging ourselves at Texas Road House, we came home for some cake and ice cream. Owen decorated this one all by himself with Lightning McQueen and Mater candies.

I can't believe I'm halfway to 62.

Pregnancy update!!! Kim's co-workers have been pulling her into the ultrasound room during slow times at the hospital. So far, nobody has been able to find any boy parts. So I think we're having a girl! (Or a boy with some serious life challenges ahead of him.)

I laughed out loud at that last statement. You crack me up! I hope it's a baby girl!! How experienced are the co-workers in doing ultrasounds? It's harder than it looks. How many weeks along is Kim now? I can't wait to see you guys!!!

Soooo sorry I never called on your b-day. Looks like you had a great day. That pumpkin with the bugs is crazy! You got some great pics at the pumpkin patch!

One of Kim's co-workers used to be an ultrasound technician. She'll be 18 weeks on Saturday. Don't worry about not calling on my birthday. 31 is not that special. We're excited to see you guys too.

It looks like you had the most fun for a not so special birthday...but watch it bud on commenting on 62!! It isn't that bad and the alternative is not even acceptable! :) I loved all the red-neck stuff! What a fun place to go!! I am sure Owen had a blast!! Tell him the cake was a masterpiece!! Can hardly wait for the 26th!! Keep thinking pink with no challenges!!

Sounds like you had such a great relaxing birthday. I'll have to remember that idea for Tim's. (especially the orange tie!) I never seem to figure out what to get a guy that wants nothing or to go no where. Happy Birthday!
